Sarah, I appreciate this post so much. I love the way you encourage us by giving glimpses into God's heart and His love for us. I have about a dozen folks I follow on Substack, and only recently found you. On my browser, I keep a few tabs open...my Gmail account, my Fantasy Baseball league, and I still have your "Is God hiding from you?" post from mid-January open in a tab. Great stuff!
Wonderful piece. I have often wondered why God heals some and not others. Joni Erickson Tada is a perfect example. Your perspective is powerful, but trusting God for the outcome is hard sometimes especially if it's not the answer we prayed for. That's where faith comes in along with our belief about God - is he really good? (Yes, He is.)
Wow this is so powerful! I prayed through tears and screams for years for God to heal my child. What our journey has held as a family is healing in a way I would have never chosen, but trust that God is writing a story so much grander than my eyes can see.
I read this with tears streaming as I’m praying and still waiting for the healing, both emotional and spiritual, for a child I love and carry before God daily and always. Thank you for sharing this. I can still trust Him and His timing.
Oh Sarah this made me cry. Thank you. I've been trusting God for spiritual healing rather than physical for both my daughters for 5 years now. I carry their deconstructed hearts so close to my own. Your words resonated deeply. I trust Him, I trust Him, I trust Him. But the waiting is so hard.
Healing by God is a mystery we can never completely understand on this side of eternity but God’s grace, love, compassion and mercy are His attributes we can all experience. “His Grace Still Amazes Me” (great song) I choose to trust God ridiculously. Thank you Sarah.

Thank you so much for this encouragement! I even read it aloud to my husband because it meant so much to me. Holding this with me today!

so grateful, Priscilla. Yes, we can keep praying and trusting God--even ridiculously trusting God.
